Kayleigh McEnany Gets Blunt Fact-Check After Slamming Trump's Last Place Presidential Ranking

The Fox News host voiced her displeasure after a new survey ranked Trump as the worst President in U.S. history—but she was quickly shut down on social media.

Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany—who previously worked as the White House Press Secretary during the Trump administration—voiced her displeasure at a new survey that ranked former President Donald Trump as the worst President in U.S. history.

The expert survey, conducted by a panel of specialists in the American presidency affiliated with the Presidential Greatness Project between November 15 and December 31, 2023, aimed to assess the overall greatness of U.S. presidents on a scale of zero to 100. Abraham Lincoln claimed the top spot with a 95.03 average, while Trump ranked last with a 10.92 average.

A visibly annoyed McEnany called the list "a highly questionable ranking" particularly because President Joe Biden—who secured the 14th position with a 62.7 rating—"came in higher than both Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan."

She added:

“The survey was done by the Presidential Greatness Project, who claim to be the foremost organization of social science experts in presidential politics. They may be the foremost example of the disconnect between ivory tower academia and real people."
"That aside, Abe Lincoln ranked first, okay, fair, then comes Obama at seventh and Biden came in fourteenth, actually beating Ronald Reagan who came in sixteenth, and Trump, dead last."
“This is infuriating in so many ways. 154 respondents, they are the ivory tower elites, who in no way represent the view of the American people."

You can hear what she said in the video below.

People were happy to inform McEnany precisely why Trump was dead last in the rankings.

Trump's ranking elicited a strong response from the Biden campaign earlier, with campaign spokesperson Kevin Munoz, who said:

"It takes a lot to be known as the absolute worst in your profession in the history of your country. But Donald Trump managed to do it, and it's pretty clear why."

Munoz added that Trump "spent his four years in office working for one thing only: himself." He said Americans have a clear choice in the upcoming election between "a president who has consistently delivered for the American people or Donald Trump who experts agree might be the worst to ever do it."

In response, Trump's campaign criticized the survey, claiming the co-directors of the Presidential Greatness Project, Brandon Rottinghaus and Justin Vaughn, are "Democrat donors." Records show Rottinghaus contributed $10 to the Democratic PAC ActBlue, while Vaughn donated $450 to the Idaho Bankers Political Action Committee.
