Despite her removal from committees for her past support of deranged conspiracy theories, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) continues to make waves in Congress—for all the wrong reasons.

In the past days, Greene has repeatedly motioned to adjourn the Democratic-led House of Representatives, forcing a lengthy roll call vote before it can pass crucial legislation like the Equality Act and the American Rescue Plan.

Fed up with these antics, Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) proposed a rule that would only allow representatives with committee assignments to move to adjourn House proceedings.

Greene was asked about Cicilline's motion by Newsweek, replying:

"Do you mean Rep. Mussolini? Not only did Democrats unilaterally strip away my committees, now they want to remove any powers I have to represent my district. The Democrats run the House of Hypocrites with tyrannical control."

It's unclear how moving to adjourn the House from legislating is effectively representing of Georgia's 14th District, but what is clear is the legacy of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.

As the leader of Italy's National Fascist Party, Mussolini joined forces with Adolf Hitler in World War II, wreaking havoc on Europe until his defeat by the Allied Forces.

Congressman Cicilline wasn't shy about why Greene's aspersions disturbed him.

Cicilline highlighted the offensiveness of Greene's comments, pointing out not only his Italian heritage, but his Jewish faith. He told Greene she could "get lost."

Twitter users applauded Cicilline's retort.

Some even thought he was being too kind in his response.

Calls are growing for Greene to be expelled from Congress due to her incessant antics.
