House leadership is preparing to remove Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming from her leadership positions due to her opposition to former President Donald Trump, who oversaw Republican losses in both houses of Congress and the White House.
The move forced congressional Republicans to admit their party's continued devotion to the ousted former President and support their base's fealty to him even in the face of congressional defeats in the 2020 election. Republican Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina, for instance, recently did this in an appearance on Fox News.
When asked about Liz Cheney, Graham said the Republican party "can't grow" without Donald Trump.

Donald Trump was voted out of office after one term.
His approval ratings only cracked 50% on conservative Rasmussen polls and only a few times during his entire presidency.
Despite this, Graham thinks Trump is the future of the party.

Many online questioned what dirt Trump must have on Graham to inspire such endless devotion.
It seems Lindsey Graham, who once called Donald Trump a "race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot" now sees no political future for the Republican party without a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot at the helm.
