Lindsey Graham Dragged For Saying GOP 'Can't Grow' Without Trump In Fawning Fox News Interview
Fox News

House leadership is preparing to remove Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming from her leadership positions due to her opposition to former President Donald Trump, who oversaw Republican losses in both houses of Congress and the White House.

The move forced congressional Republicans to admit their party's continued devotion to the ousted former President and support their base's fealty to him even in the face of congressional defeats in the 2020 election. Republican Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina, for instance, recently did this in an appearance on Fox News.

When asked about Liz Cheney, Graham said the Republican party "can't grow" without Donald Trump.

Graham said on Fox:

"Can we move forward without President Trump?"
"The answer is no."
"I've always liked Liz Cheney, but she's made the determination that the Republican Party can't grow with President Trump."
"I've determined we can't grow without him."

Twitter gave Graham more than a little bit of shade for his continued Trump worship.

Donald Trump was voted out of office after one term.

His approval ratings only cracked 50% on conservative Rasmussen polls and only a few times during his entire presidency.

Despite this, Graham thinks Trump is the future of the party.

MSNBC pundit Jason Johnson of Morgan State University commented:

"[Graham] sounds like a '90s R&B singer, like, 'I can't go on, I can't imagine my future without you'."
"As usual, Lindsey Graham has about as much political integrity and stability as a weather vane."

Many online questioned what dirt Trump must have on Graham to inspire such endless devotion.

It seems Lindsey Graham, who once called Donald Trump a "race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot" now sees no political future for the Republican party without a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot at the helm.
