Kim Kardashian's Controversial Met Gala Look Had Everyone Concerned For Her Internal Organs

The reality TV star wore a John Galliano gown to the 2024 Met Gala with a metal corset that was so tight people wondered how she could even breathe.

Kim Kardashian certainly had heads turning with her 2024 Met Gala look on Monday night, but the reaction was mostly out of concern.

People flocked to social media to comment on the reality TV star's attire for one reason.

Well, maybe two...but pilling cardigan aside, most fans expressed their concern for Kardashian's internal organs.

The Skims co-founder showed up to the gala in a custom Maison Margiela Artisanal gown by John Galliano featuring an extremely cinched metal corset that had people wondering if it was doing some physical damage.

As photos made their way through the Twitterverse, people expressed their worry.

Of course, this isn't the first time Kardashian's Met Gala look sparked concern.

In 2022, she shed 16 pounds in just three weeks so she could wear the vintage "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" Marilyn Monroe gown to the event.

And it certainly had its consequences.

Kardashian told Allure:

“Psoriasis broke out over my body and I got psoriatic arthritis so I couldn’t really move my hands."
“It was really painful, and I had to go to a rheumatologist who put me on a steroid. I was freaking out.”

But the star also claimed she went about her weight loss in a healthy way, despite what critics may have said.

“If I was starving and doing it really unhealthy, I would say that, of course, that’s not a good message."
"But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life."
"I don’t see the criticism for other people when they lost weight for roles — they are [considered] geniuses for their craft.”
“There are so many things out there that are so not accurate and not true.”

We certainly hope that's true, and we hope that she took the same considerations into this year's look, as well.

Selfie attempt ends in injury

Someone took “When in Rome, do as the Romans do” a little too seriously.

That someone is a 47-year-old American tourist who found himself impaled on the spiked fencing at the Colosseum after a failed attempt at taking a photo. The incident occurred last Friday when the tourist, who is also a resident of Taiwan, climbed onto the railing at the historic landmark’s Piazza del Colosseo before slipping and falling onto the iron spikes below.

Elizabeth Warren Rips Education Secretary's Mind-Numbing Video For 'Teacher Appreciation Week'

Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren criticized Education Secretary Linda McMahon for paying tribute to educators during "Teacher Appreciation Week," noting the hypocrisy of McMahon's actions as she honors teachers on one hand and works to dismantle the Department of Education on the other.

In March, President Donald Trump signed an executive order empowering McMahon “to the maximum extent appropriate and permitted by law, take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return authority over education to the States and local communities.”
