Kelly Clarkson has been a part of the millennial music catalogue since her iconic win on American Idol's very first season in 2001.

Since then, she's been giving concerts, touring the country, releasing albums, and even hosting her very own talk show. And such a long, illustrious career definitely comes with some embarrassing moments.

On a recent episode of her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson was talking to fellow musician Clint Black about embarrassing incidents on stage...when we learned just a bit too much about her excretory shenanigans.

Clarkson began the embarrassing story by letting us all know exactly what we were in for: "it wasn't pee, my friend!"

"I got some kind of wrecked up from some kind of food and I literally… we were in an arena, and I shouldn't tell this story, but like I said, my man: I don't have a filter. I had to run backstage to my quick-change."
"I grabbed this poor trash can and boy, I destroyed it."

She continued:

"It was bad. It was bad, Clint. It was… and we might have to edit this out, but I'm just saying: It happens! What are you supposed to do?"

Stars needing to do their business on stage is not new. One time, in 2005, Stacy Ferguson, aka Fergie of the Black-Eyed Peas, visibly peed herself on stage after being desperate for relief.

Not too long ago, Phoebe Bridgers also recounted an unpleasant experience where she pooped her pants on stage.

"I had food poisoning and the label was like, 'Well, if you're sick, that's fine, but it's really cool you got booked.' They didn't put pressure on me, I was just trying to underplay how sick I was. I was like, 'I'm fine,' and I was sweating. Then I got on stage and three songs in…"

Celebrities: they're just like us.

They too put themselves in impossible bathroom situations. The difference is, nobody knows our most embarrassing stories.
