Mitchell turned the trolling critiques of how he looks in his signature braided wig as 'Good Burger 2' films into comedy gold.

Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson are began filming on Good Burger 2, the sequel to the 1997 cult classic Good Burger.

The film was based on a comedy sketch of the same name from the Nickelodeon series All That.

And to say people are excited about photos and videos of the part two in progress is an understatement.

Sightings have been popping up on social media.

And while the duo are seemingly stoked to be back in their roles some two and a half decades later, Mitchell had some words for people talking about his appearance...

... specifically people who said he looks like Jada Pinkett Smith from Set it Off in his braided wig.

Mitchell addressed the comments in a video he posted to Instagram - which featured himself along with co-star Thompson AND the cast from Set It Off - shouting in his character Ed's voice:

"They say I look like Jada Pinkett [Smith], so we're about to set it off."

In the caption, he echoed the sentiment:

"Ed and Dex about to set it off 🤣🤣🤪 y’all get ready this is going to be Epic!"

He also quipped:

"Shoutout to my sis @jadapinkettsmith."

Viewers of the video were highly entertained by his response to the Pinkett Smith comments.

Mitchell also posted a split-screen video to show what he looks like without the makeup and wig.

The top part of the video uses an anti-aging filter and the bottom has no filter, so Mitchell had some fun with a "then and now" clip featuring his famous line:

"Welcome to Good Burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order?"

Good Burger 2 is slated for a November release, and we can't wait!
