Katy Perry was the definition of extra during a Disney-themed American Idol episode.

The songstress arrived dressed as the Sea Witch, Ursula, from 1989's The Little Mermaid.

Perry used her costume to galvanize American Idol fans to vote in the latest round.

She was all about the "SUCK-TION," by the way.

The American Idol crew seemed to be having a blast, too.

And fans loved it.

Perry told People that she and her costume designer Johnny Wujek explored several options before settling on Ursula.

"I've done so many costumes with [Wujek] over my whole career and we were going through what I could be. He had a sketch of Piglet, he had a sketch of Sebastian, he had a sketch of [Ariel, the Little Mermaid], Tinkerbell, and Ursula and it was Ursula on keto, you know? And I was like, 'I think I've got to do this.'"

She added:

"Ursula doesn't always get — it's hard to dress up as Ursula because she's an octopus. And so I was just going to go full tilt. I mean, a lot of people have been [Ariel] and you would think, you know, that that would be the choice. But Ursula…"

We hope Perry enjoyed playing a villain for the evening.

We all need to spice up the workplace from time to time!
