After spotting comedian Nathan Fielder at a restaurant in L.A., Jonas had the waiter send over a drink—only to get a bowl of mayo back as a 'thank you.'

Singer Joe Jonas received the most random response to sending one of his favorite comedians a drink after spotting him at a local eatery in L.A.

Jonas, who is a member of his brothers' music trio Jonas Brothers, talked about his celebrity sighting on Instagram, and left followers in stitches.

He said he was having dinner at Donna's restaurant when he saw comedian, writer, and actor Nathan Fielder, who created and starred in the reality show Nathan for You and was recently seen in the HBO docu-comedy The Rehearsal.

Said Jonas in his storytime video:

“I wanted to send him a drink, so I asked the waiter if we could send something over, and they said, ‘You have good taste,’ which made me feel good about my loving all things Nathan Fielder.”

Jonas then furrowed his brows at Fielder's "thank you" response, which came in the form of a tiny bowl of mayonnaise.

The clip ended with a photo of the condiment.

You can watch the video here.

According to fans, the move was on brand for Fielder.
