Jennette McCurdy celebrated her memoir 'I’m Glad My Mom Died' staying on the 'New York Times' best seller list for 80 weeks with a confetti cannon—but it didn't go quite like she planned.

Writer and former Nickelodeon child star Jennette McCurdy had plenty to celebrate over the weekend, but that doesn't mean she was in any way ready for it.

McCurdy took to social media with a confetti cannon in hand to celebrate the 80th week her memoir about her abusive mother, I'm Glad My Mom Died, appeared on the New York Times Best Seller List.

But McCurdy's fear of loud noises definitely got the best of her—and her reaction to the confetti cannon's pop was one for the ages.

@jennettemccurdy

thank you for making igmmd a nyt bestseller for 80 weeks. and still the #1 audiobook 🙏 i’m celebrating

The video starts off normal enough, with McCurdy sitting in front of a giant 80 to mark the occasion. But it quickly goes sideways.

Gingerly holding the confetti cannon aloft and struggling to break it open, she says:

"I’m scared... Ahhh, fu*k, I’m scared, OK? Fu*k, I hate
 This is a bad idea, I hate loud noises!

Boy was she not kidding! When the confetti cannon finally went off, McCurdy let out a bone-chilling shriek and held her ears as if the entire room had just exploded.

Thankfully, McCurdy herself couldn't help but laugh as the confetti began raining down around her.

She said:

“I can hardly breathe, oh my god, that was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced.”

She then quipped, "“that’s what my next memoir’s about!”

And judging from the social media response, McCurdy's tome about the terrors of confetti cannons will also be a best seller because her shriek definitely made an impression.

Let's hope when her memoir about the terrors of confetti cannons does even better than I'm Glad My Mom Died, they can just give her, like, a kazoo or something to celebrate. She's been through enough!

Dems Are Mercilessly Trolling Ted Cruz Over A GOP Bill That Would Ban Porn In The U.S.

After Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee introduced a bill that would essentially ban pornography nationwide, people responded by immediately mocking his colleague, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, over a 2017 incident in which his Twitter account "liked" a hardcore adult video.

The proposed Interstate Obscenity Definition Act would significantly broaden the legal definition of obscenity by including all pornography—specifically any depiction of sexual acts that “lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.” If passed, the legislation would make it illegal to distribute or consume pornography, regardless of intent.
