Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and many Americans' most trusted source when it comes to news of the global pandemic, has a well-documented history of being an all-around nice guy for many years.

As President Trump's team is reportedly bad-mouthing Fauci (his own employee), Twitter user Luke Messac took the opportunity to share a heartwarming story of the prominent physician.

Years ago, Fauci met with Messac while the Twitter user was still an undergrad student, gave him a full interview and later read and complimented his entire thesis.

Fauci's kindness inspired many online.

Fauci's humility and eagerness to be a role model for another young scientist seemed like the exact personality traits America should value.

Twitter users couldn't stop singing the praises of Fauci's many good qualities.

Many people wished President Trump would take a few pages out of Fauci's book when it comes to humble, dignified behavior.

True leaders are willing to follow when the moment is right.

As the nation fights the virus which continues to rapidly spread through many states, many take comfort in knowing there's someone like Dr. Anthony Fauci working for the USA's best interests.
