Dustin Diamond's 'Saved By The Bell' Co-Stars Are Mourning His Loss With Emotional Tributes

On Monday, it was announced Dustin Diamond—who had played Samuel "Screech" Powers on the hit NBC sitcom Saved By The Bell—passed away at the age of 44.

He was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of lung cancer only a few weeks earlier. Lark Voorhees who played Lisa Turtle on the show wished him well when news of his cancer diagnosis broke.


After his passing, tributes flowed in from Diamond's former co-stars.

Elizabeth Berkley—who reprised her role as Jesse Spano in the show's reboot on Peacock—paid tribute to Diamond.

Her reboot co-star, Mario Lopez who played AC Slater, had this to say:

Tiffani Thiessen, who played Kelly Kapowski, had this message:

And Zack Morris himself, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, talked about Diamond's 'comedic genius'.

Tori Spelling—who played Diamond's character's girlfriend Violet—shared that fact on her Instagram.

Of course, friends and fans alike shared their feelings.
