Trump Rails Once More Against Windmills In Bizarre Speech, Says He 'Never Understood Wind'

Trump Rails Once More Against Windmills In Bizarre Speech, Says He 'Never Understood Wind'

President Donald Trump took a break from railing against dishwashers and toilets to return to a favorite target of his: wind turbines, which he calls windmills.

Trump often falsely claims that energy can't be harnessed from the turbines when the wind isn't blowing, and that household electronics like televisions go out frequently as a result.

In a speech to the young Conservative group Turning Point USA, Trump took a shot at the renewable energy source, claiming he's never "understood wind."

Watch below.

The President said:

"I never understood wind. I know windmills very much, I have studied it better than anybody. I know it is very expensive. They are made in China and Germany mostly, very few made here, almost none, but they are manufactured, tremendous — if you are into this — tremendous fumes and gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right?"

After pointing out that the world is smaller than the universe, he repeated claims that windmill farms are a threat to the bird population, including American bald eagles.

"A windmill will kill many bald eagles. After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off, that is true. By the way, they make you turn it off. And yet, if you killed one, they put you in jail. That is OK. But why is it OK for windmills to destroy the bird population?"

While his ramblings may have pleased the young Republican crowd, others were left baffled.

Just another day in the presidency of Donald Trump.

Nancy Sinatra Shuts Down MAGA Fan Who Claimed Her Famous Dad Would've Voted For Trump

It's no secret that MAGA Republican President Donald Trump hasn't been able to attract the cream of the crop when it comes to the entertainment industry.
