There are certainly some stories that should be kept to oneself. If your story involves waking up covered in cockroaches, that might be a good sign it's not for sharing.

Rapper Diddy did not heed this unwritten rule, however, when he posted to Instagram a video of himself eating fruit, dancing by a poolside and telling the story via Instagram caption.

"One day when I was growing up, I woke up and there was 15 roaches on my face," he wrote.

"At that moment I said hell no, I refuse to live like this. Work hard, believe in your crazy dreams… AND NEVER SETTLE!"

Fans were puzzled.

Immediately, the bizarre caption became meme fodder.

Some people wondered why Diddy had such an accurate count of that many roaches on his face.

Others imagined the roaches' reactions to learning they were situated on Diddy.

While most of us have lived in apartments that doubled as roach motels, it seems unlikely someone would have let fifteen multi-legged terrifying cockroaches crawl all over their face, even while asleep, before waking up and addressing the matter.

And if that's really what happened.... AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

We love a good rags-to-riches story, but Diddy can keep those 15 roaches.

We certainly hope we never find that many roaches anywhere, especially on top of us.
