Republican congressional nominee Marjorie Taylor Greene sent shock waves through political spheres earlier this summer when she won the Republican primary to represent Georgia's 14th Congressional District. Greene is a believer in QAnon, the wide-ranging conspiracy theory that President Donald Trump is working to save the nation from a network of satanic pedophiles and cannibals.
In Georgia's solid red 14th District, it's almost certain that Greene will be heading to Congress in 2021.
Until then, Greene seems to be passing the time by trolling her future colleagues on Twitter.
The nominee, who ran ads brandishing an assault weapon and telling "antifa terrorists" to "stay the hell out of northwest Georgia," took a swipe at progressive Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York.
She asserted that AOC had "single handily" put a stop to dumb blonde jokes with her supposed lack of intellect.
As a blonde woman, I would like to take a moment to thank Congresswoman @AOC.
She has single handily put an end to all “dumb blonde" jokes.
Blondes everywhere appreciate your service and your sacrifice!

Ocasio-Cortez graduated cum laude from Boston University with degrees in economics and international relations, in addition to winning national awards for academic science experiments.
While still skilled in academia, the Congresswoman is even more famous for her adeptness at Twitter clapbacks.
This time was no exception.
Don't worry Mrs. Greene, I completely understand why you need to swing + miss at my intellect to make yourself feel better.
You seem to have some trouble spelling your own insults correctly.
Next time try “single-handedly," it'll work better.
Good luck writing legislation! https://t.co/y33JXVfxDc

Greene dismissed Ocasio-Cortez's comeback, claiming "no one cares about typos."
.@AOC please ... no one cares about typos.
While you were growing up in socialist boot camp, I was creating 1000s of jobs, $250 million in revenue in 11 different states.
Your Marxist GND will destroy millions of jobs.
And I'm going to put it through the paper shredder. https://t.co/ahNICgGHvQ

But Greene was just about the only one not cheering.
This is the Twitter I live for. https://t.co/iSw4k5rlYn

Meanwhile, Greene's response was largely mocked.
This is single handily the worst comeback of all time

Yours wasn't a typo. "Single-handily" is ignorance.

No one cares about typos.... until they're in the context of an insult calling someone else dumb, unprovoked. Then they're amaaaaazing.

The exchange was yet another example of Republicans trying—and failing—to come for AOC.
DO NOT COME FOR @AOC. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. REPEATEDLY. https://t.co/3EqebUit30
— Peter Paige (@ThePeterPaige) September 21, 2020
Again, you aren't going to beat her at this game, Republicans. You should stop trying. https://t.co/UgpBzwZnjN

Why does anyone step to @AOC anymore? Literally fool's play https://t.co/G6OheYtFHW pic.twitter.com/WswTyMh6LE

Like all elections for the House of Representatives, Greene's election is on November 3.
