WATCH: Woody Harrelson Describes 'Brutal' Dinner Date With President Trump

WATCH: Woody Harrelson Describes 'Brutal' Dinner Date With President Trump

While appearing on Friday's broadcast of "Real Time with Bill Maher," actor Woody Harrelson described a 2002 dinner date with Donald Trump, who he characterized as "narcissistic."

The actor was on the show to promote his upcoming Lyndon B. Johnson biopic "LBJ." Starting at the four-minute mark, you can see Harrelson recount the time retired pro-wrestler and then-governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura invited the actor to join him for a dinner with Donald Trump while in New York 15 years ago. At the time, Trump was trying to convince Ventura to be his running mate on the 2004 Democratic presidential ticket. Harrelson told the show's host, Bill Maher, that the meal itself was "brutal."

"I've never met a more narcissistic man. He talked about himself the whole time," said Harrelson. “I had to walk out halfway through to smoke a joint just to like steel myself for the rest of it,” he added.

Many on Twitter applauded:

Brooklyn-based Tom Shackleford posted on Twitter his solidarity with the actor, saying "Woody Harrelson is all of us #Its420Somewhere."

Others in the Twitterverse were less sympathetic, rolling their eyes at the actor while discrediting his story for the sole reason that he is known for smoking weed. Their comments sought to distract away from the story being about Trump's less-than-enjoyable demeanor.

One commenter went so far as to say "uh huh, says the guy who is known for breaking laws for being a pot head. please woody, tell us more." It is safe to say that @gabrie10466231, and possibly his eight followers, are not fans of "Real Time with Bill Maher."

It seems many commenters criticizing Harrelson for being a pot-head didn't actually watch the interview itself. During the segment, host Maher also talked about how Harrelson quit smoking marijuana more than a year ago.

Nancy Sinatra Shuts Down MAGA Fan Who Claimed Her Famous Dad Would've Voted For Trump

It's no secret that MAGA Republican President Donald Trump hasn't been able to attract the cream of the crop when it comes to the entertainment industry. While Kid Rock, Kevin Sorbo and Scott Baio are Trump ride or dies, pretty much every other Hollywood or music legend or rising star is taking a pass on Trump.

And some outright despise the man and let everyone know. Often.

And MAGA is not happy about it.
