Tucker Carlson Laughs Maniacally And Abruptly Ends Interview After Guest Criticizes Chauvin After Verdict

Tucker Carlson Laughs Maniacally And Abruptly Ends Interview After Guest Criticizes Chauvin After Verdict

Following former police officer Derek Chauvin's conviction for the murder of George Floyd, conservative television host Tucker Carlson had a minor meltdown during his Fox News program.

Carlson was discussing the guilty verdict with former New York corrections officer Ed Gavin.

When Gavin suggested police should do research and refrain from using excessive force, Carlson responded with a sudden, unhinged laugh.

You can see the odd moment here:

Twitter was more than a little bit terrified by Carlson's unexpected cackle.

After finishing his wild laugh, Carlson abruptly ended his interview with Gavin and kicked him off the air.

During this same episode, Carlson suggested, based on zero evidence, Chauvin's "jury might have been intimidated by politicians and fear of violent protests."

Earlier this week, he claimed Chauvin was "lynched" by the media and said most Americans couldn't say specifically how Floyd died.

No one watching this moment of television could have possibly expected such a strange laugh from Carlson.

Has anyone checked on the Fox host's mental wellbeing?

No matter how Carlson feels about it, Chauvin was convicted on two counts of murder and one count of manslaughter.

He now faces potential decades in prison.
