Rage-Filled Lou Dobbs Accuses Trump's Attorney General of Working With the Deep State After He Criticized Trump

Rage-Filled Lou Dobbs Accuses Trump's Attorney General of Working With the Deep State After He Criticized Trump
Fox Business

Attorney General William Barr criticized President Donald Trump's tweets about Justice Department prosecutors' sentencing recommendation for Trump ally Roger Stone.

Barr—who overrode the recommendation after Trump railed against it on Twitter—said Trump's tweets made it impossible to do his job, though some people believe his words weren't to rein in Trump, but to mitigate public outrage.

Fox Host Lou Dobbs is not one of those people.

Dobbs—a devout Trump supporter—suggested to One America News Network's Tom Fitton that Barr was allowing the "deep state" to overtake the Justice Department.

Watch below.

Dobbs lamented:

"[I]t's a damn shame when he doesn't get what this president has gone through and what the American people have gone through, and what his charge is as Attorney general...Where the hell are the charges against the politically corrupt deep state within the Justice Department, the FBI, and why in the hell aren't we hearing apologies from someone in that rancid corrupt department about what they permitted?!"

For his part, Trump claims he didn't pressure Barr to override the prosecutors to recommend a reduced sentence to Trump.

But he said that doesn't mean he can't.

People almost felt sorry for Dobbs.

Barr will testify before the House Oversight Committee at the end of next month.

After Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz appeared on Fox News and made a crass joke about Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski's recent trip to Mar-a-Lago, he was instantly called out for his hypocrisy on social media.

Cruz's comments followed the revelation by Scarborough and Brzezinski—two of the most outspoken cable news critics of President-elect Donald Trump during the 2024 election campaign—that they had met with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate for clear-the-air discussions. The meeting marked their first face-to-face interaction in seven years.
