Teacher Asks To Borrow Student's Pencils—And Discovers Heartwarming Messages Written On Them By His Mom

Teacher Asks To Borrow Student's Pencils—And Discovers Heartwarming Messages Written On Them By His Mom
@CalltoActivism/Twitter

The Twitter account 'Call to Activism' shared how a teacher discovered that a student's mom had written empowering messages on his pencils.

In one of the more touching teaching moments that has gone viral on social media in awhile, a teacher found one of their students was using pencils upon which the student's mom had handwritten affirmations.

The teacher was running low on supplies and put out a call in the class for pencils. One student requested they be able to keep the pencils their mom made them and of course the teacher said yes.

However, the student agreed to share a few of them because the messages were important.

The messages—easily over 20 of them—featured sentences that uplift and affirm the student.

They included:

  • "You are knowledgable."
  • "You are a math whiz."
  • "Proud of you every day"

You can see the social media post here:

People congratulated the mom on being awesome, adding affirmations into her child's school day.

Many people were deeply moved by the gesture.

Others shared what they used to do, or currently do, for their own little scholars.

Shouldn't we all strive to make that much of a positive difference in a kid's day?

School is almost over for the year in North America, but this sort of message can inspire people for next year.

Trump Adviser's Chess Analogy After Trump's Meeting With Canadian Prime Minister Is Epic Self-Own

President Donald Trump's adviser Stephen Miller was mocked online after he used a chess reference to heap praise onto Trump after his Oval office meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Canadian voters returned the Liberal Party to power for a fourth consecutive term after Trump repeatedly threatened Canadian sovereignty amid an ongoing trade war. Carney made defending Canada’s sovereignty a cornerstone of his campaign, pushing back forcefully against Trump’s threats to annex the country as “the 51st state.”

People In Long-Term Relationships Explain What Love Feels Like To Them Now

While some people wax nostalgic about the "good old days" when everyone stayed married, the reality is that there were almost no options for divorced women. There were very few for widows either.

Longevity in relationships was more about necessity and no other choices than devotion. Now that divorce is easily accessible, longterm relationships are more likely to be a choice.
