Simone Biles has done it once again.
The legendary Olympic gymnast just won her ninth all-around title at the U.S. gymnastics championships, marking the first time any gymnast has accomplished such a feat. In fact, no gymnast in U.S. history aside from Biles has won more than seven national championships.
And while footage of Biles' super-human floor routine and insane vaults have made the rounds online, her family's reactions to the historic moment have gone viral as well.
NBC Sports posted a video of Biles' floor routine to X (formerly Twitter) showing not only her exceptional talent but also footage of her family members, including her mom, Nellie Biles, and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, watching emotionally as she executed her impressive routines.
In another video showing Biles sticking her vault landing, the gymnast's mother can be seen getting emotional.
And the Twitterverse was living for these reactions.
People on social media were touched by the way Biles' family emotionally responded to her historic accomplishment.
Others commented on Biles' phenomenal performances and congratulated her on yet another all-around title.
Biles rounded out the competition on Sunday with a combined two-day score of 119.750, beating out Skye Blakely (113.85) and Kayla DiCello (110.8), who finished second and third, respectively.
Prior to earning her all-around title on Sunday, Biles said:
“Today, it’s just getting out here, getting comfortable and confident in my gymnastics, and hopefully going to Olympic trials and making that next step towards Paris."
“So I couldn’t be more proud of how I’m doing this time in the year, and just gaining that confidence over and over, getting myself back in front of a crowd, and just doing what I do in practice.”
She added:
“I feel like most of the time, if I’m not stressing or have anxiety, I do feel like I’m having fun. So it’s good to have that and feel that again.”
Sunday's win secured Biles' spot at the Olympic trials in Minneapolis later this month. Runner-up Blakely also secured a spot.
The two will be joined by fourteen other gymnasts who will be invited to the trials, set to be held June 27-30, with sights set on the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris next month.
