Ohio's GOP Lt. Gov. Gets Loudly Booed After Trying To Promote Trump Face Masks At Trump's Rally

Ohio's GOP Lt. Gov. Gets Loudly Booed After Trying To Promote Trump Face Masks At Trump's Rally

President Donald Trump recently visited Ohio for a political rally near Dayton.

Before the President took the stage, Republican Lt. Governor Jon Husted was brought on to "warm up" the crowd.

As part of his remarks, the Ohio politician mentioned that, when they were required to wear a mask, Trump supporters should wear the President's branded masks!

Unfortunately for Husted, he was met with a deafening chorus of boos from the crowd who didn't seem to appreciate a politician saying they should occasionally be wearing face masks.

Though Husted was encouraging the Trump voters to protect themselves and their families, Trump's rhetoric have turned masks a polarized issue in America.

As Husted began to speak about Trump-branded masks, the crowd started to boo.

"If you go into a grocery store where you've got to wear [a mask]...Hang on, hang on, just listen up. Just listen up."

After being unable to continue for several moments, Husted seemed to give in to the crowd's demands, saying:

"Alright, I get it!"

Someone in the crowd was even heard to shout over Husted:

"Not gonna work!"

Over 200,000 people have now died from the virus in the United States.

But President Trump has insisted on turning masks into a partisan issue, despite experts agreeing they're probably the most effective way to combat the pandemic's spread.

Though Husted is a Republican who's gotten behind President Trump, the President's supporters continue to show how little tolerance they have for any reasonable respect for science.
