On Thursday, April 15, a heated exchange between Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California and Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio went viral on Twitter.

As Jordan was questioning contagious disease expert Anthony Fauci, Waters cut in and said:

"You need to respect the chair and shut your mouth."

Twitter couldn't get enough of the brief moment between Waters and Jordan.

Many felt it was high time Jordan was put in his place.

Dr. Fauci likely didn't realize he was going to be present for this viral moment.

Social media lovingly lined up behind Waters.

Though hilarious, this quibble isn't likely to decrease tensions between the two political parties in the House of Representatives.

Sorry Congressman Jordan, perhaps your next tantrum won't be interrupted by your colleagues.

Although it seems social media really hopes it is.
