In the wake of the US Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, there has been a lot of backlash against the Supreme Court justices, including Judge Clarence Thomas.

Hillary Clinton had her own piece to day about Thomas' history. She went to Yale Law School at the same time as Thomas, and related her experiences with the man.

Clinton told CBS Mornings' Gayle King:

"I went to law school with him. He’s been a person of grievance for as long as I have known him. Resentment, grievance, anger [...] women are going to die, Gayle. Women will die."

Clinton, and others, are especially concerned about Thomas' words in his concurring opinion released when the Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Most concerning to a majority of people was a line indicating Thomas wants the court to reconsider other prominent civil rights decisions.

"In future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell."

Griswold v. Connecticut ruled married couples had a right to privacy against state restrictions on the use of contraceptives.

Lawrence v. Texas established laws making homosexual intimacy illegal were unconstitutional.

Obergefell v. Hodges required states to both license and recognize same-sex marriages.

Clinton also said Thomas has had it in for Roe v. Wade for a long time, and that she thinks he has been working toward this moment for a while.

"He has signaled in the past to lower courts, to state legislatures to find cases, pass laws, get them up."

She said his message to other conservative judges has been something along the lines of:

"I may not get them the first, the second, or the third time, but we’re going to keep at it."

Many on Twitter agreed with Clinton's assessment of Thomas.

It remains to be seen whether the Court will reconsider the rulings Thomas highlighted in his concurring opinion.

If they do, and they are overturned, the country could become a very different place.

Trump isn't exactly known to be a looker but he has nonetheless declared himself a "perfect physical specimen" and boasted about his physical prowess, once noting that his own White House physician had declared him "healthier than Obama"—despite Trump's distaste for exercise and fondness for fast food.
