On September 23, President Donald Trump drew strong rebukes from both sides of the aisle by declining to commit to a peaceful transfer of power after the November elections.

Trump also suggested that removing mail-in ballots would be integral to keeping him in power and, thus, keeping the peace.

Even FEC Commissioner Ellen Weintraub had some strong words for the President.

Trump has made a habit of out of breaking norms since becoming President and the centuries-old tradition of gracefully passing power to the next President is no exception apparently.

Twitter was thankful there are objective voices like Weintraub's standing up for our democracy.

President Donald Trump may not care about the state of our country after he's gone but America's citizens will be stuck in the mess he's made.

Of course, most Presidents would never have to be told "we're not going to throw out any ballots just to help you win."

America will soon have the chance to decide whether it can tolerate a President who cares more about himself than for the continuation of our Democracy.
