The 'Wolf Pack' star confirmed the rumor about the music icon's behind-the-scenes role in the series to Jimmy Fallon.

Just when we thought we couldn't love Dolly Parton any more, a new nugget of information comes along and our hearts nearly explode.

Rumors have swirled for a while that country icon and possible real-life angel Parton was a secret producer on the hit '90s and early 2000s series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

According to the vampire slayer herself the rumor is true.

Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. When asked by Fallon, Gellar confirmed the Jolene singer quietly led the show to be the massive success it was.

The Wolf Pack star revealed to Fallon:

"Little known fact, the legend Dolly Parton was a producer."
"And you know, we never saw her. We'd get Christmas gifts in the beginning that would have our name and I would think, 'She doesn't know who I am'."

But then came the gift of a lifetime for Gellar:

"And then one day somebody asked her about it and she complimented the show and my performance. And I was like, 'Oh, I can die now. Dolly Parton knows who I am and thinks I'm good'."
"Her partner was Sandy Gallin and they produced Buffy."

Fans learning of the Steel Magnolias star's part in the Buffy series expressed their surprise as well as their whole-hearted delight.

We can just add Parton's uncredited producing to the long list of reasons to adore her.

Reasons like donating $1 million to vaccine research at the height of the pandemic, giving free books to children through her Imagination Library, paying for college tuition for Dollywood employees through Grow U and even paying for choir and band uniforms and instruments for students at predominately Black schools.

This doesn't even scratch the surface, but we'll stop because we could go on and on about our national treasure for days.
