Madame Tussauds is known for their remarkable wax figures in the likeness of many celebrities and other prominent personalities on display in their museums around the world.

This week, one particular waxwork is turning heads for its particularly uncanny resemblance to a Hollywood luminary.

Last week, Black Panther actress Angela Bassett posted an Instagram video of her reaction to her very lifelike wax figure of herself at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood.

"I see me!" exclaimed the Oscar nominee at first glance, adding, "Oh Lord, I'm a twin."

"Hey, me. Oh God, it looks so lifelike," she giggled.

"It's like it's gonna jump alive and give me a hug."

Bassett even gave her approval after inspecting the figure's backside. "Look at my derrière, even that's cute," remarked the 63-year-old Golden Globe winner.

Bassett additionally posted a photo posing next to the figure and added the caption, "Seeing double."

Fellow actors and musician friends commented on how impressive the new figure was.

People were doing double-takes on Twitter after the Madame Tussauds USA Twitter page tweeted the unveiling on September 17 and made references to Bassett's films, Waiting to Exhale and Black Panther.

"The wait to exhale is over, The Queen of Wakanda herself, Angela Bassett has arrived!"
"The ageless icon has been officially immortalized by Madame Tussauds Hollywood."

People had a hard time being able to tell the two Angela Bassetts apart.

There was praise all around.

Bassett made her breakthrough in Hollywood portraying legendary music icon Tina Turner in her biopic, What's Love Got to Do with It (in 1993) which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

She currently produces and stars as a regular on the Fox drama series 911, playing LAPD patrol sergeant Athena Grant.

Along with Bassett, Madame Tussauds Hollywood also honored actresses, Tiffany Haddish, and Jennifer Hudson, with their respective lifelike figures that made fans see double.
