... and then she came through for the masses the following day.

The TikToker found a YouTube video by The Music Man DJ Service, the company that represents Phoenix, in which he discusses why he loves to DJ weddings.

In the clip, Phoenix shared:

"When people are having fun and you feel like, 'I'm kind of the catalyst for this' 'cause I'm playing the right music and I'm making a good time for everybody and make the wedding flow properly."
"The bride and the groom after this...that makes you feel good."

Phoenix himself doesn't understand what all the fuss is about over "like 10 seconds of me standing there."

He told Insider it's no different than any other wedding he's DJed.

"It's what I've done for the last 40 years at weddings."
"It was another wedding and I did my usual 'best I can do, give them everything I got,' wedding."

As for his impressive collection, Phoenix shared that his decades-long career as a DJ both at weddings and on the radio—plus about 18 years at a night club—have helped him to find music that people of all ages want to hear.

And addressing being an internet sensation, the DJ thinks people just like to see others pursuing their passion.

"I think seeing someone just being themselves and following their passion, no matter their age, is what people enjoyed so much about the video."

Spinning tunes and changing lives.
