Woman Says She 'Won't Even Leave The House' Over Pandemic Concerns—While In The Middle Of Town

Woman Says She 'Won't Even Leave The House' Over Pandemic Concerns—While In The Middle Of Town
Good Day Britain/ITV

A Bolton, England woman went viral after a clip of Good Morning Britain showed her saying she wouldn't "even leave the house" because of the ongoing pandemic...while she was clearly situated in Bolton's town center.

She was also accompanied by another person.

Neither were wearing masks.

The irony of this entire situation was immediately noted by Twitter.

The interview was conducted on the heels of concern about the Indian variant, which is currently causing absolute chaos in India and has made its way to the UK.

The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) stated there is a "realistic possibility" the variant could be up to 50% more transmissible than the UK variant, which was already 50% more transmissible than the original strain.

The concern about this variant is quite well warranted, although more recently emerging data suggests the vaccines available are still effective against the new variant.

Still, should someone want to stay in their house, that is their choice—although, this clearly is not this woman's house.

While it's entirely possible her answer was edited or from another question in order to make the point citizens are concerned about the new variant, the impact is nonetheless hilarious.

Whomever this woman is, the levity is much needed.
