Dating in New York city is already tough, with an overwhelming set of options against a backdrop of everybody being eternally busy and working for their careers.

But one TikToker was taken even further aback when her date asked her to make the trek to meet him for their first date during Hurricane Ida which ravaged the New York city area last Wednesday.

After the date, she said she'd rather have rescheduled.

"The date which was one single hour long in which he made me pay for myself when I trekked here in a literal hurricane—we walked outside and he said 'yeah you're right, we should've rescheduled'."

She also captured some priceless footage of herself pouring water out from her boot and having the train skip her stop so she is forced to walk home from a stop up.

"No man on earth has ever made a woman this wet," she said, jokingly.

Cassidy finished off the story by saying:

"You know, it's moments like this when you really know whether you're a Sex and the City kind of New York girl or you're a Broad City kind of New York girl. Guess which one I am?"

She ended her night with a margarita on the couch, which is the only way to end the night after an egregiously, sitcom-level bad date.

After a couple follow-up videos, she identified the thing that keeps all us New Yorkers going out in figurative hurricanes to meet new people...

MAGA Rep. Dragged After Claiming Bad Bunny's Halftime Show Depicted 'Gay Pornography'

Tennessee Republican Representative Andy Ogles was widely mocked after he claimed Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show was "pure smut" that depicted "gay pornography"—even going so far as to write a letter to the Energy and Commerce Committee demanding "a formal congressional inquiry" into the "indecent broadcast."

The rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, delivered a largely Spanish-language show that has been hailed as a "love letter to Puerto Rico" and that drew from his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which won the Grammy for Album of the Year just a week ago.
