Beware of a spoiler alert for those who haven't watched Netflix's popular series, Stranger Things.

In the first season of the hugely successful sci-fi series, a beloved supporting character met her premature demise, and fans were unforgiving of her untimely execution in The Upside Down.

A Starbucks barista is still mourning the loss of a beloved character.

Shannon Purser, who played the dearly departed Barb Holland on Netflix's critically acclaimed series, walked into a Starbucks and ordered a cup of coffee.

This is what she saw scrawled on her paper cup.

The note read, "Barb deserved better." And the barista didn't mean she deserved a better brew.

To recap Barb's undignified exit from the show, she was last seen driving her bestie, Nancy, to a party. In an attempt to fit in with the other misfits, she sliced her hand while trying to cut into a beer can with a knife. A brief altercation with her pal sent our brooding Barb out to the backyard pool, where the blood from her injured hand summoned the Demigorgon who dragged her into The Upside Down and killed her in the process. Poor Barb.

Fans were vocal about the lack of empathy towards Barb's death on the show. Like the barista said, she deserved better.

The show's co-creator Matt Duffer explained that her death still played a role in the general arc of the story. He told IGN in an interview:

I can't see it happening. But Barb will not be forgotten. We'll make sure there's some justice for Barb. People get very frustrated, understandably, that the town doesn't seem to be really dealing with Barb. That stuff is all happening. We're just not spending any screen time on it.
It's not like her parents are like 'Oh Barb left. She died!' Season 1 actually takes place over the course of six or seven days – it's a really short period of time. So part of what we want to do with hypothetical Season 2 is to explore the repercussions of everything that happened.

Another fan saw what he wanted to see, which was a tribute to Sean Astin's character, Bob Newby, who met his gruesome fate during a heroic, but unsuccessful battle with a Demidog in season 2.

Purser, herself, agreed.

Still, Barb will never be forgotten. A Starbucks customer was fangirling over spotting Purser.

If you're name starts with the letter "B," in Stranger Things, you better watch your back.

Tim Walz Perfectly Explains Why Trump Running The Country 'Like A Business' Is A Bad Idea

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz criticized President Donald Trump during an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, stressing just why the people who elected Trump to run the country "like a business" were completely misguided.

Walz particularly lamented the impacts of Trump's ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, noting that Trump has a history of scuttling deals and "a proven track record of being an absolute failure."

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
