Ted Lasso, an Apple TV+ program, is a story about a fictional lower tier soccer club which happens to poke fun specifically at something of the same nature owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

With a very provocative joke aimed directly at the two, the show took loving, yet precise aim at its inspiration.

Reynolds responded publicly to the joke, demanding some of the show's famous biscuits to "avoid legal action."

"While we hold the incomparable Jeremy Swift in no ill regard and are honored to be mentioned on the platform that's brought us high-quality programming ranging from Mythic Quest season one to Mythic Quest season two, we must insist that you cease and desist from the casting of any doubt regarding our commitment to the club, the fans, and the entire Wrexham community."

McElhenney also tweeted out the letter, to which Apple TV+ replied that it was "furiously baking" as we speak.

The exchange, which is obviously just for fun, gives a good little promotional boost to Ted Lasso, to Wrexham, which is Reynolds and McElhenney's club, and to Mythic Quest, another show Elhenney is working on.

No word on how far the series or the actors plan to take this joke has emerged.

Trump Made A Petty Dig At Taylor Swift During The Eagles' White House Visit—Because Of Course

President Donald Trump was called out after he made a petty dig at pop star Taylor Swift during his speech for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles' visit to the White House.

In a brief speech, Trump acknowledged the Eagles' 40–22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs was “a little surprising,” a remark that appeared to reference the Chiefs' consecutive Super Bowl victories in 2023 and 2024. He then shifted focus to Swift, getting in a petty swipe drawing attention to Swift's presence at the game to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play tight end for the losing team.
