Anti-Trump Republican Group Uses Trump's Own Words Against the GOP in Savage New Ad

Anti-Trump Republican Group Uses Trump's Own Words Against the GOP in Savage New Ad
Republican Accountability Project

Former President Donald Trump has been banned from a slate of popular social media outlets after his rampant disinformation regarding the 2020 election prompted a mob of his extremist supporters to storm the United States Capitol.

But though Trump's audience is diminished, he continues to post nearly incoherent conspiracy theories, repeating his most infamous lie that the 2020 election was "stolen" from him by Democrats engaging in widespread fraud.

This is all occurring as Republicans like Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California insist that the 2020 election is settled.

The ani-Trump GOP group—Republican Accountability Project—is targeting these contradictions with its latest ad.

Watch below.

After showing a video of McCarthy insisting no one is disputing the validity of the election, the ad goes to Trump's blog, where he's written:

"There was massive fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election"

and

"They rigged and stole our 2020 Presidential Election"

and

"400,000 Absentee Ballots are missing"

The ad goes on to show Republicans like Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida insisting that it's time to move forward.

It concludes:

"If Republicans want to move on from the 2020 election, they should tell Donald Trump."

People shared it to point out the hypocrisy from Republican lawmakers regarding the election and their unwavering support for Trump.

Republicans have also opposed establishing a bipartisan commission to investigate the Capitol Riots—another dent in their credibility.

Interestingly enough, McCarthy and other House Republicans voted to oust Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her leadership position for consistently declaring the election wasn't stolen.

Former GOP Senator Gets Brutal Wakeup Call After Criticizing People For Playing 'Candy Crush' Instead Of 'Making Babies'

Ben Sasse represented Nebraska in the United States Senate from 2015 to 2023. As a Midwestern moderate, the sometimes controversial Sasse was often critical of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump on social media and on the Senate floor.

At one point, the Nebraska GOP censured him because of his criticism of Trump. But Sasse, like Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins, would still vote with the majority of his party when his vote was needed to back Trump's agenda.
