Former President Donald Trump has been banned from a slate of popular social media outlets after his rampant disinformation regarding the 2020 election prompted a mob of his extremist supporters to storm the United States Capitol.
But though Trump's audience is diminished, he continues to post nearly incoherent conspiracy theories, repeating his most infamous lie that the 2020 election was "stolen" from him by Democrats engaging in widespread fraud.
This is all occurring as Republicans like Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California insist that the 2020 election is settled.
The ani-Trump GOP group—Republican Accountability Project—is targeting these contradictions with its latest ad.
Watch below.
Republicans say they want to move past the 2020 election.

Someone should tell that to Trump...pic.twitter.com/3Rh2D91IxW— The Republican Accountability Project (@The Republican Accountability Project) 1621547225
After showing a video of McCarthy insisting no one is disputing the validity of the election, the ad goes to Trump's blog, where he's written:
"There was massive fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election"
and
"They rigged and stole our 2020 Presidential Election"
and
"400,000 Absentee Ballots are missing"
The ad goes on to show Republicans like Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida insisting that it's time to move forward.
It concludes:
"If Republicans want to move on from the 2020 election, they should tell Donald Trump."
People shared it to point out the hypocrisy from Republican lawmakers regarding the election and their unwavering support for Trump.
@GOPLeader and other #Republicans say they want to move on but Trump continues to put out daily statements claiming the #2020election was stolen from him. https://twitter.com/AccountableGOP/status/1395496323797987333?s=19 …— Tom McCarthy (@Tom McCarthy) 1621610260
They just want people to forget Jan 6th and they want to stop us from pointing out that they have repeatedly contributed to the “ Big Lie” and are as guilty as Trump in every way!https://twitter.com/accountablegop/status/1395496323797987333 …— pam_cee52 (@pam_cee52) 1621609754
If Republicans want to move past the last election, they need to tell the former guy… and condemn his big lie.https://twitter.com/accountablegop/status/1395496323797987333 …— Donald Van de Mark (@Donald Van de Mark) 1621609063

If the @GOP wants to save itself, it needs to immediately cut ties with donald trump. As @RepAdamSchiff said, they will be tied to him with a cord of steep and for all eternity. Honestly I couldn’t care less if the party implodes on itself.https://twitter.com/accountablegop/status/1395496323797987333 …— Inspector Gadget (@Inspector Gadget) 1621612018
Republicans have also opposed establishing a bipartisan commission to investigate the Capitol Riots—another dent in their credibility.
The GOP is afraid of a Jan 6 commission because they know the results could hurt their chances in 2022. But all of America witnessed this disgusting act of insurrection and officials in the Government need to provide closure to the citizens of the US just as was done for 911.https://twitter.com/AccountableGOP/status/1395496323797987333 …— JaksonMich (@JaksonMich) 1621551220
Funny how Republicans want to move past anything that implicates them in wrongdoing and corruption. #Jan6thCommissionNowhttps://twitter.com/AccountableGOP/status/1395496323797987333 …— Waverly Hudson (@Waverly Hudson) 1621580177
@RepTomEmmer do you just wanna move past the 2020 election or do you want to know the facts behind the insurrection at the Capitol on 1/6? Your constituents (employers) have a right to know.

Not holding my breath for your answer.https://twitter.com/AccountableGOP/status/1395496323797987333 …— Max Enevoldsen (@Max Enevoldsen) 1621602446
Interestingly enough, McCarthy and other House Republicans voted to oust Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her leadership position for consistently declaring the election wasn't stolen.
