Daphne Dunne has stolen the hearts of Prince Harry and the rest of the world over the years. She is Prince Harry's biggest Australian fan, and she finally got to meet his wife on Tuesday.
Daphne is a 98-year-old widow. She first met Prince Harry in 2015 and again in 2017 before meeting him for the third time, along with Meghan Markle, on the couple's first stop on their Australian tour.
Prince Harry was first drawn to Daphne when he saw her many military medals. The medals belonged to her late husband, Lieutenant Albert Chowne, who was awarded the Victoria Cross medal for bravery after his death in 1945.
Their first meeting occurred after the prince finished his month-long deployment with the Australian army.
They met again in 2017 when the Duke of Sussex was back in Australia to launch his Invictus Games.
The Games were started by Prince Harry after
"[he] saw first-hand how the power of sport can help physically, psychologically and socially those suffering from injuries and illness."
The most recent meeting was especially exciting as Meghan Markle just announced her pregnancy.
When Meghan sweetly and graciously met Daphne for the first time, she ended the meeting saying,
"Hopefully next time we see you we'll have a little one with us."
Watch the incredible exchange here.
People from across the globe are taken by the Duchess' incredible poise and compassion.
The exchange between the three is quite possibly the most pure thing on the internet right now.
This trip to Australia marks the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first official royal tour.
