The media mogul said the music icon, who died at age 83 on Wednesday, was 'excited and curious' about death.

Oprah Winfrey had some beautiful words to share about her dear friend Tina Turner in the wake of her passing yesterday at the age of 83.

The media mogul took to Instagram to honor the "goddess of rock and roll," while also revealing Turner's feelings on death.

In her post, Winfrey wrote:

"I started out as a fan of Tina Turner, then a full-on groupie, following her from show to show around the country, and then, eventually, we became real friends."
"She is our forever goddess of rock ‘n’ roll who contained a magnitude of inner strength that grew throughout her life. She was a role model not only for me but for the world. She encouraged a part of me I didn’t know existed."

Winfrey continued, celebrating Turner's courage:

"Once she claimed her freedom from years of domestic abuse, her life became a clarion call for triumph. I’m grateful for her courage, for showing us what victory looks like wearing Manolo’s and a leather miniskirt."

She then revealed what Turner had told her about dying:

"She once shared with me that when her time came to leave this earth, she would not be afraid, but excited and curious."
"Because she had learned how to LIVE surrounded by her beloved husband, Erwin, and friends."

You can see photos of the two fans turned friends below.

Viewers of the lovely tribute agreed with every single thing Winfrey shared of the Queen of Rock and Roll and thanked her for such thoughtful words.

People Break Down The 'Silent Red Flags' Folks Tend To Ignore In Relationships

A red flag has come to mean any warning sign in life, in addition to the literal red flags that are placed on beaches or industrial sites to warn people of danger.

People will respond to situations by saying, "That’s a red flag." But before that language evolved, they'd just call them "warning signs."
