Indicted Giuliani Associate Is Flipping on Trump After Trump Claimed Not to Know Him, Will Comply With Impeachment Inquiry

Uh-oh, Donald.

Ukrainian-born business man and close associate of Rudy Giuliani, Lev Parnas, was indicted last month on campaign finance violations committed after he and his partner Igor Fruman donated to the campaign of President Donald Trump and a bevy of other Republican campaigns.

As Trump's and Giuliani's dealings with Ukraine face greater scrutiny with the ongoing impeachment inquiry against Trump, a lawyer for Lev Parnas told Reuters that Parnas intends to comply with the House impeachment inquiry:

“We will honor and not avoid the committee's requests to the extent they are legally proper, while scrupulously protecting Mr. Parnas' privileges including that of the Fifth Amendment."

The decision represents a stark change from Parnas's earlier actions when he refused to provide testimony or documents requested by the committee shortly after his arrest.

For his part, Trump claimed while talking to reporters last month that though he might have a picture with Parnas, he had know idea who Parnas was. There were, however, multiple pictures of Parnas with Trump and other famous faces in the rogues gallery of the White House, including with Donald Trump Jr. and, most commonly, the President's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

Some think Parnas's cooperation will be damning.

Others are more skeptical due to the loyalty Parnas has displayed to Trump in the past.

Giuliani's next cable news appearance should be interesting.

Trump previously announced there will be a UFC fight on the White House grounds to celebrate America's semiquincentennial. Trump expects the fight will happen in front of 20,000 to 25,000 people, a proposal backed by former two-division champion Conor McGregor, who confirmed his interest after not having competed since 2021.

While a person's wedding day is meant to be a celebration of their love and starting a new life with their partner, it's also important to remember the life they're leaving "behind," specifically the household that raised them.

In a video that's gone viral multiple times before, a Chinese father presents his daughter, who is about to be married, with a bowl of dumplings. He then selects one dumpling and feeds it to her, as a reminder of how he raised her and symbolizing that this is the last time he'll take care of her before she becomes a married woman.
