Trying to think of a unique and memorable way to propose to the person you love is no easy task. But one Brazilian couple got all that and then some when their favorite pop star Miley Cyrus helped them do it onstage--and threw in a bit of her trademark irreverence for a little something extra.

It all went down during Cyrus's set at Lollapalooza Brazil on Saturday when the couple, who met at a previous Cyrus show, came onstage to get on bended knee--to Cyrus's delight, despite the whole thing happening in Portuguese.

See video of the proposal below.

According to online translators, the man who proposed said:

“Seven years ago was the last time she [Cyrus] came to Brazil, one week later we started dating."
“I couldn’t handle not having you with me at this moment, we came together, got here at 9am, spent the whole day over there [backstage], and we will do this for the rest of our lives together because I want to know…if you will marry me?”

Aww! Despite the language barrier, Cyrus was overjoyed by the proposal, shouting a hearty "Yaaasss!" into the microphone before giving the men a perfectly self-deprecating wish for good luck.

"Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine. Mine was a f*cking disaster.”

Cyrus tied the knot with actor Liam Hemsworth in December 2018, a union that didn't make it a year. Cyrus and Hemsworth split in August of 2019 because of "too much conflict," according to Cyrus, and their divorce was finalized in January 2020.

On Twitter, fans loved both the self-deprecating joke and Cyrus's enthusiastic celebration of the couple's proposal

The couple's proposal has particular significance given the times. Although legally speaking Brazil is one of the most progressive countries on Earth when it comes to LGBTQ rights, its rate of anti-LGBTQ violence has soared since far-right President Jair Bolsonaro took power in 2019.

Trump’s comments come just ahead of his planned visit to Doha, Qatar—part of his first major overseas trip since taking office in January.
