Republican Congresswomen Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Lauren Boebert of Colorado already hold the unenviable distinction of being two members of Congress to express support for the QAnon conspiracy theory.

Now, the pair have another bullet point to add to their resumés.

Boebert and Greene were the only two representatives to vote against a bill that would create a national bone marrow registry, potentially saving untold numbers of lives.

In a starkly divided Congress, The TRANSPLANT Act—which would reauthorize the National Marrow Donor Program and expedite the process of matching donors with recipients—passed the House of Representatives with an overwhelming 415-2 majority.

In a statement on her opposition to the bill, Greene's spokesman said:

"Nothing in this bill prevents the funding of aborted fetal tissue by taxpayers. It opens the door for the NIH to use this bill to research the remains of babies who were murdered in the womb."

It's worth noting that the National Marrow Donor Program is particularly lifesaving for children undergoing leukemia.

For Boebert's part, the reasoning was supposedly fiscal:

"This bill added hundreds of millions of dollars to the national debt, while not receiving a CBO score or going through the committee process."

Their votes certainly made an impression on social media.

People were confounded by the apparent disregard for lifesaving legislation.

Fortunately this legislation isn't beholden to a pair of congressional conspiracy theorists.

Former 'Jimmy Kimmel' Writer Epically Fires Back At 'Bruised Skin' Trump In Blistering Congressional Testimony

Bess Kalb, a former writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, criticized President Donald Trump during a hearing on Capitol Hill called “Silencing Dissent: The First Amendment Under Attack,” saying the president is the program's "best and worst audience" with "inexplicably bruised" and "very thin" skin.

Kalb's appearance is no accident given how much Jimmy Kimmel Live! has offended Trump's sensibilities over the years—and how he tried to pull it off the air last year.
