After the Electoral College met to confirm Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 Presidential election, the President-elect gave a speech.
Biden called out President Donald Trump's unpresidential behavior.
Biden said during the speech:
"We all wish that our fellow Americans in these positions will always show such courage and commitment to free and fair elections, but it is my sincere hope we never again see anyone subjected to the kind of threats and abuse we saw from the selection."
"It's simply unconscionable."
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh Mcenany—who has become well known during her time serving President Trump for her willingness to bend (or completely ignore) the truth—quickly responded to Biden's speech.
On Twitter, McEnany referenced several conservative conspiracy theories before saying Biden's speech was "DIVISIVE."
Twitter quickly called McEnany out for her rhetoric, which many people believed was far more divisive than Biden's.
Twitter even had to add a caveat to McEnany's tweet, saying "this claim about election fraud is disputed."
Most people on Twitter didn't seem to buy McEnany's take on the Biden address.
Twitter took McEnany's tweet in stride, preparing for her inevitable exit from the White House.
Though President Trump and his team delayed Biden's transition to power far longer than is normal or necessary, it is now well under way.
President Trump's days in office are numbered, but before he exits it seems his entire team is shooting out one last round of falsehoods for the road.
