Jennifer Garner Reveals The Real Reason Her Children Prefer To Watch Ben Affleck's Movies Over Hers

Garner told InStyle that her children don't like watching her pretend to be someone else's mom, preferring Affleck's movies so they can poke fun at him.

Jennifer Garner recently revealed her children don't care much to see her on the big screen, but their reasoning is quite precious.

In an interview with InStyle last week, Garner shared her and Ben Affleck's kids Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11, "don't love" to watch her movies.

"My kids don't love to watch me in things."
"They do to be supportive, but I think it's a little weird to watch your mom kiss someone or cry."

She added they likely won't be watching her new AppleTV+ show The Last Thing He Told Me, a limited series based on the Laura Dave novel by the same name.

"The don't want to see me sad and they don't want to see me in a romance."
"They don't love seeing me play someone else's mom, honestly."

That's kind of adorable, actually.

As for watching their father, though, the kids don't take the same stance.

"It's different."
"They don't mind watching their dad."

People on social media agreed the children's reasoning for not watching their mom's movies is super sweet.

Garner's revelation totally tracks.

Affleck recently told The Hollywood Reporter his children love to watch films and poke fun at him.

"The first movie of mine that my kids actually sat through was Armageddon."

But he revealed:

"They like movies where they can make fun of me."
"They just found the whole thing kind of preposterous, but they loved it."

He did admit, however, that he truly cared about the kids' opinion of Good Will Hunting, which he's watched with two of his three children so far.

Affleck noted his daughters were "engaged" and "interested" in the film, thus marking his "most gratifying experience."

Of Garner's two newest projects The Last Thing He Told Me and Party Down, she shared:

"The whole point to me is to mix it up and to be constantly turning what you've just done on its head and doing something different."
"Doing these two back-to-back was particularly satisfying to me."

You can catch them both on AppleTV+.

Trump Made A Petty Dig At Taylor Swift During The Eagles' White House Visit—Because Of Course

President Donald Trump was called out after he made a petty dig at pop star Taylor Swift during his speech for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles' visit to the White House.

In a brief speech, Trump acknowledged the Eagles' 40–22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs was “a little surprising,” a remark that appeared to reference the Chiefs' consecutive Super Bowl victories in 2023 and 2024. He then shifted focus to Swift, getting in a petty swipe drawing attention to Swift's presence at the game to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play tight end for the losing team.
