During the 2016 Republican Primary, conservatives like Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), then-South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and many others roundly decried then-candidate Donald Trump's run for the Presidency.
They said he was a bigot who wouldn't denounce the Ku Klux Klan and that his behavior and rhetoric were abhorrent.
Since then, the vast majority of them have gone on to be fervent supporters of now-President Donald Trump.
Another one of Trump's former detractors spoke at the second night of the Republican National Convention on Tuesday: Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez.
Truly a privilege to live in a country where the daughter of immigrants can address the American people about the values we hold dear— faith, family and freedom. pic.twitter.com/c4bjgbCqQP

Nunez said in her speech:
"In 2016, our country yearned for a leader who would work tirelessly to jumpstart our economy and fight for hardworking Americans. Since day one, President Donald Trump has put America first."
Nunez emphasized that the United States "yearned for a leader" in 2016, but a resurfaced tweet about Donald Trump that same year showed Nunez was certain that leader wasn't Donald Trump.

Nunez called Trump "the biggest con-man there is," and endorsed Senator Marco Rubio, one of Trump's opponents at the time.
People called out the hypocrisy.

The speech was widely panned by Trump's critics.
You mean like the family values from Jerry Falwell Jr., his wife, and the pool boy? Those family right evangelical values?????
