As new virus cases across the United States continue to rise, President Donald Trump and his allies continue to claim that the death and hospitalization rates are steadily low, not acknowledging the lag between diagnosis and death.

On Tuesday, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data on hospitalizations and intensive care units mysteriously disappeared from the center's website.

CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said that the data would now be going through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) instead of the CDC, sparking concerns that the White House was taking steps to reduce the availability of virus data.

While most major media outlets were covering this change, conservative network Fox News was covering something quite different.

The network was covering rumors that Taco Bell would be removing beloved menu items like the seven layer burrito and quesaritos.

Reddit was their source.

As delicious as these menu items may be, people were concerned that the network was using the development to distract from the much more unsavory news coming out of the CDC.

Then again, people were concerned that the tasty items might be on the slab.

These Reddit rumored removals have yet to be confirmed by Taco Bell or their parent corporation Yum! Brands.
