Inflation these days, #amIright? First with the eggs, and now... empty salad containers?!
Okay, maybe that second one isn't quite as widespread, but TikToker Marcy Mayland came across a ridiculously overpriced *empty* salad container at Goodwill and had to call out the second-hand retail giant.
In her now-viral video—which has been viewed nearly 1 million times—Mayland documented her visit to the thrift store where she found a grocery store salad container—sans the leafy greens—priced at an insanely steep $5.
She captioned the video:
"To tell you I was crying and almost peeing my pants of laughter from this would be an understatement. Goodwill, you really got me on that one!”
In the video itself, Mayland strolled through the store "just kind of proving to the people that we're price-gouging here."
She then showed the salad container and said:
"I came across this nice spring salad mix..."
"It was $5 for an empty, recyclable plastic container that you get salad in."

Viewers of the TikTok were astounded by the price of... someone's trash.

And many noted that the price of the container is cheaper at the grocery store - when it's FULL OF SALAD!

A few even questioned the person who made the "donation" in the first place.

What do you have to say for yourself, Goodwill?
