CNN's Chris Cuomo Lays Into Trump Spokesperson After She Claims He's Never Lied

CNN's Chris Cuomo Lays Into Trump Spokesperson After She Claims He's Never Lied
CNN

CNN host Chris Cuomo was flabbergasted when President Donald Trump's 2020 campaign press secretary Kayleigh McEnany asserted that Trump had never lied.

According to The Washington Post, Trump has made over 12,000 "false statements." This week, he told 48 lies in six days.

That didn't stop McEnany from using the Trumpian tactic of claiming instead that the real liars are the "fake news media" as she vouched for Trump's innocence.

Watch below.

"I'm gonna ask you this one more time," Cuomo said.

"Do you believe this President has ever lied to the American people?"

She replied:

"No, I don't believe the President has lied...Do you believe the fake news media has lied?"

McEnany continued to lob accusations against Cuomo:

"The fake news media lies every day about this President. The fake news media lies and that's why you've lost credibility."

Cuomo was not having it:

"Interview's over, Kayleigh! Please.
"If you can't admit that this President has lied to the American people, you will not have credibility with the audience. You've got a long way to go, Kayleigh."
"Look, when the President is telling the American people not to believe in a free press, that they're the enemy of this state...he is to blame for sowing the seeds of division...He lies all the time and you know it."

McEnany continued to accuse the press of lying, while Cuomo promised that he'd never lied about the President "in [his] life."

The two reached an impasse, with Cuomo assuring McEnany that she'd still be welcome on the show.

People on Twitter were amazed at her denial.

But even more than Kayleigh's delusion, people were stumped that Cuomo and CNN still invite documented liars on the air to feed the President's propaganda machine.

But because up is down and down is up, the Trump campaign praised Kayleigh's denial as a victory over Cuomo.

A red flag has come to mean any warning sign in life, in addition to the literal red flags that are placed on beaches or industrial sites to warn people of danger.

People will respond to situations by saying, "That’s a red flag." But before that language evolved, they'd just call them "warning signs."

Resurfaced Trump Tweet Criticizing Obama Over Iran Comes Back To Bite Him

Amid tensions with Iran, President Donald Trump was criticized for hypocrisy after social media users resurfaced a 2013 tweet in which he accused former President Barack Obama of planning an attack on Iran because of his "inability to negotiate properly."

Trump has declined to clarify whether the U.S. is edging closer to launching strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, following a warning from Iran’s supreme leader against any attack and a rejection of Trump’s demand for surrender.
