Sunday, March 17th, was St. Patrick's Day, and Chicago decided to celebrate in style by dying their river a bright, BRIGHT shade of green!

The river was VERY green.

It was so green, in fact, that many people online thought it might be able to function as a working green screen...and they were right!



There's nothing trippier than seeing a river in Chicago become Return of the Jedi.


The original green screener challenged the internet to create whatever they could with the concept!

The internet did not disappoint...





Twitter loved the new St. Patty's Day tradition.


Others have experimented with the green screen process in the past to amazing effect!




If there's one thing this St. Patrick's Day has taught us, it's that you should green screen at every available opportunity. No exceptions!
