President Joe Biden just shared a wholesome moment in a viral video. Biden was caught on camera on Sunday reassuring a young girl with a speech impediment.
Biden's former deputy campaign manager Rufus Gifford published a tweet with a sweet video of Biden giving Gifford's niece some encouragement
Gifford's niece Avery was speaking to Biden when she began stuttering. Biden then reassured the girl, telling her to keep working on her stutter.

She was just told by a guy who knows a little something about it that she can be anything she wants to in this world.

In his tweet, Gifford wrote:
“My amazing niece and goddaughter Avery has struggled with a stutter much of her life."
“She was just told by a guy who knows a little something about it that she can be anything she wants to in this world. A day she will never ever forget. Thank you sir."
In the video, Biden said:
“I promise you it will go away if you just keep at it."
Avery responded:
"Thank you, Mr. President."
Avery then hugged Biden and he invited her to visit the White House sometime.
Biden himself dealt with a stutter since childhood. He recounted having to practice his speech in front of a mirror.
During his campaign, Biden was ridiculed by multiple GOP politicians and supporters of former President Donald Trump for his speech impediment.
Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee issued an apology after tweeting with a fake stutter to mock Biden during his campaign.
Her tweet read:
“I I I I...hhhave absolutely no idea what Biden is talking about.”
Trump himself even mocked Biden for his stutter, commenting Biden “gets angry” because “that’s what happens when you can’t get the words out," before mocking Biden's speech pattern.

What a great video and they aren't alone i myself have a severe stutter that I've dealt with since I could talk and continue to suffer from to this day but luckily my wife looks passed that 😊 😀 ☺

The touching moment brought up a memory of Biden encouraging another child who had a stutter. Biden met with New Hampshire boy Brayden Harrington and told him to not let his stutter "define him."
Biden told Harrington:
"You are smart as hell. You can do this."
Harrington was so touched by Biden's words of encouragement he went on to speak in support of Biden during the Democratic National Convention.
Harrington said:
“I’m just a regular kid, and in a short amount of time, Joe Biden made me feel more confident about something that’s bothered me my whole life."
