Teen Dubbed 'Batgirl' After Swallowing Earring That Made Its Way Into Her Inhaler

Here's a nightmare scenario no one ever thought to fear: what if your earring falls into your inhaler?

It's something you don't think about until you have a piece of Batman-themed jewelry lodged in your throat. But if you manage to survive the incident, you'll get a great nickname out of it.

Reddit user emdarko posted a photo to the website with this caption:

Bat earring found it's way into my inhaler.

14 hours in the ER and one surgery later, I am now known as bat girl.

Further proof/content in comments.

Here's that radiograph of her throat, complete with Batman bling:

Sure, 14 hours of surgery is a terrifying ordeal...but maybe it was all worth it for a story this good?

Reddit

Many Reddit users found the whole story pretty hilarious (since the poster turned out ok).

Emdarko then offered up even more X-rays and photos from before and DURING her operation:

This one is a bit hard to swallow....

But what became of the earring? According to emdarko, she got to keep the earring and still wears it.

Reddit

But, pics or it didn't happen so...

Prove it!

Some other Redditors had been in similar situations with their own inhalers.

This is why the pharmacy gives it to you with a cap on it guys!

And others just had experience with inhaling something other than air by mistake.

Emdarko shared what it actually feels like to have Gotham's vengeance stuck in your throat. Turns out it's something more than a few of us have experienced with a certain brand of flavored tortilla chips.

Reddit

Wow! We're all glad you're ok, emdarko. But please, be careful with what you inhale in the future.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Whether we want to admit it or not, we've all had our fair share of carpool karaoke and maybe even imagined our car as our own personal recording studio.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
