Here's a nightmare scenario no one ever thought to fear: what if your earring falls into your inhaler?
It's something you don't think about until you have a piece of Batman-themed jewelry lodged in your throat. But if you manage to survive the incident, you'll get a great nickname out of it.
Reddit user emdarko posted a photo to the website with this caption:
Bat earring found it's way into my inhaler.

Sure, 14 hours of surgery is a terrifying ordeal...but maybe it was all worth it for a story this good?
Many Reddit users found the whole story pretty hilarious (since the poster turned out ok).

And others just had experience with inhaling something other than air by mistake.
Emdarko shared what it actually feels like to have Gotham's vengeance stuck in your throat. Turns out it's something more than a few of us have experienced with a certain brand of flavored tortilla chips.
