Anthony Scaramucci Compares Himself To Monica Lewinsky, And Monica Is Very Confused

Anthony Scaramucci is back in the news after calling out The New Yorker's Ryan Lizza, who wrote an article based on an explosive conversation he had with Scaramucci, ultimately leading to Scaramucci's ouster as White House communications director.

Scaramucci, feeling like his conversation with Lizza was unfairly recorded, took to Twitter on Wednesday night to air his grievance.

And to do so, he took us back to the Clinton administration...

Linda Tripp, of course, is notorious for having secretly recorded phone conversations between herself and Monica Lewinsky, who was having an affair with then-President Clinton at the time.

Which, by the transitive property -- or something -- means Scaramucci was comparing himself to Lewinsky.

Lewinsky needed only an emoji to express her surprise at Scaramucci's comparison:

And Twitter could not have loved it more.

It was truly a thing of beauty to behold.

Even if the comparison wasn't exactly accurate.

Scaramucci is set to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, and we can't wait for Colbert to ask him about this and so much more.

President Donald Trump's adviser Stephen Miller was mocked online after he used a chess reference to heap praise onto Trump after his Oval office meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Canadian voters returned the Liberal Party to power for a fourth consecutive term after Trump repeatedly threatened Canadian sovereignty amid an ongoing trade war. Carney made defending Canada’s sovereignty a cornerstone of his campaign, pushing back forcefully against Trump’s threats to annex the country as “the 51st state.”
