President Donald Trump has never publicly acknowledged Pride Month during his tenure in the Oval Office.

So when Trump's fourth child, Tiffany Trump, spoke on his behalf at a "Trump Pride" event in Tampa Bay, Florida on October 17, the internet was very confused.

The President's only daughter with his second wife, Marla Maples, pranced onto the stage to the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling." When she finally spoke, she demonstrated a way with words ran in the family after she botched trying to use the acronym "LGBTQIA+."

You can watch the clip here:

She addressed the sparse crowd:

"So let me just say how excited I am to be in this room with probably with so many of my friends."
"It's such an honor to be able to be able to be here and speak truthfully, and honestly from my heart. I know what my father believes in."

Tiffany said of her father:

"Prior to politics, he supported gays, lesbians, the LGBQIIA+ community."

She continued:

"You, unfortunately, see social media and you see these fabricated lies, it saddens me. I have friends of mine who reach out, they make up stories, they say how could you support your father?"
"We know you. We know your best friends are gay, we know your best friends are this, this, and this. I say it's because my father has always supported all of you."

Twitter had plenty to say about her speech and her reference to the LGBTQ community as "this, this and this."

Many of the comments mentioned how much Tiffany Trump sounded like singer/actress, Miley Cyrus.

The Trump administration's actions—or lack thereof—in support of LGBTQ rights was evident with many attempts to reverse progress—including pushing for adoption agencies to be able to legally refuse same-sex couples and for businesses and healthcare providers to refuse service to LGBTQ people.

The transgender community was also a frequent target of the administration when the White House banned them from serving in the military and rolled back on a Obama-era guidance that protected transgender students from being discriminated against in schools.

Mom Stunned After Job Refuses To Let Her Call Out Of Work To Take Care Of Her Sick Kids

We can all agree that when we take on a role in a workplace, we should be expected to perform our duties, show up on time, not abuse the time off policy, and generally make good contributions as a member of that company. Those are all reasonable things to expect of an employee who is being paid.

But we are all human, and sometimes things come up that are out of our control.
