Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen addressed attendees of a National Day of Prayer event outside the White House on Thursday.

Shortly before introducing President Donald Trump, Pence bragged of the president's accomplishments, saying:

"President Trump has taken steps to ensure that the Federal Government will never, ever penalize anyone for their religious beliefs ever again."

While the sentiment is nice, the vice president seems to be forgetting one thing...

Pence infamously threw his support behind Executive Order 13769, or Trump's ban on entry to the United States for citizens of predominantly Muslim countries.

So when Pence said "religious beliefs," people inferred that his words only applied to Christianity.

Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy was criticized for voting to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) after he spoke out against President Donald Trump's executive order recommending that the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine be broken up into separate shots.

The new policy would recommend giving the MMR vaccine as three individual injections rather than as a combined shot, while also spacing childhood vaccinations across separate doctor visits.
