In December, a Dutch teenage model, Ivana Smit, 18, was found dead after falling 14 floors from an apartment building in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. On Monday, news surfaced that the model had been involved in a threesome with Alex Johnson and Luna Almaz moments before falling to her death.
Johnson and Almaz admit that this was not the first time sleeping with the 18-year-old. "They were involved in a sexual act three weeks earlier," according to the International Business Times.
The outlet also states, "While police say Smit's death was a tragic accident, British private investigators hired by her family say her death should be treated as a murder."
Now, people are asking the question: did Smit die accidentally or was she murdered?
The Couple Recently Spoke to the Daily Mail

They have told the police from the get-go that Smit's death was an accident.
"This case is an object lesson in how false claims and fake news can come close to destroying people," Alex said.
Since news of their relationship with Smit began making the rounds, the pair have admitted to receiving death threats. Johnson tells the Daily Mail that one man called the couple's nanny and told them that he was Luna's father, and would be picking her up from school. "We never intended to make the details of our marriage public. Now we fear our own lives are in danger, and we have no choice."
Johnson and Almaz first met in 2010. Luna is a lawyer's daughter and works in education. According to the Daily Mail, she is bisexual. The New York Post reports that she has also worked as a model.
Alex, meanwhile, works as Asea Cpaital in, according to his LinkedIn, where he has worked since July 2012. In 2006, he co-founded Scarlet Rogue Clothing.
The Johnsons Call Their Marriage 'Progressive'
The couple calls their marriage "progressive", telling the Daily Mail that in the past, they have enjoyed "three-way" flings. The New York Post reports Marcel Smit, Ivana Smit, as saying that he'd hear "rumors that the wealthy couple were swingers who frequently brought young models home to party."
Luna tells The Daily Mail that the death has been shocking. "When I talk about her death, my hands are shaking, I have a pain in my heart. I feel so sad. It’s awful. But because I have been fighting to prove my innocence, I haven’t been able to grieve."
News outlets have reported that Smit sent a selfie to her boyfriend, Lucas Kramer, around 7 am, a couple hours after the group of three arrived back at the Johnson's apartment. Luna claims that both she and Alex were asleep in the bedroom, tired after their long night out, when Ivana is thought to have fallen.
