Chicago Meteorologist Loses His Mind After Discovering Monitor Is Touch Screen During Live Forecast

Chicago Meteorologist Loses His Mind After Discovering Monitor Is Touch Screen During Live Forecast
ABC7

Having someone geek out over something unexpectedly cool is one of life's little pleasures. That's especially true if the person is normally on the more reserved and professional side - like a newscaster, for example.

Their moment of shameless joy can become a contagious little bit of wholesome in everyone's day.

You'd think there's not much in the way of "unexpectedly cool" left to discover when you've been on the job for over a decade, but tech is constantly changing.

Enter meteorologist Greg Dutra. He's been an on-air personality for over a decade, and been with ABC since 2019, so he's not exactly new to the job.

He is, however, new to the touch screen.

Dutra's broadcast went adorably off-book when he accidentally tapped the screen he normally uses during broadcasts.

Evidently he had never done that before because he was caught completely off guard by the fact that his map moved.

The attempt at maintaining professional stoicism lasted about .08 seconds before Dutra couldn't hold back his grin.

The next few moments of the broadcast were part news, part playing-with-the-new-toy. Co-hostTerrell Brown jumped in on the action for a moment, sharing the joy.

Because this happened during a live broadcast, viewers got to share in the joy as well.

So did Twitter! People loved his tweet of the clip, mostly because it was so relatable.

The people get it, Greg.

Think back. When was the last time a day at the office/school/house resulted in something bringing you this much joy?

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
